The Derry Cooperative School District will implement Blizzard Bags again for the 2019-2020 school year. A Blizzard Bag contains assignments for students to complete at home during inclement weather days.

LETTER FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

Blizzard Bags have been updated for the 2019-2020 school year and are again available to the right organized by grade level.

We ask that all grade levels access and submit Blizzard Bag assignments online. In the event that you do not have digital access on a Blizzard Bag Day, students will have 48 hours to submit their completed assignments. In the event of widespread power outages in Derry, it is likely we will not be using Blizzard Bags on those days.

• ON A BLIZZARD BAG DAY YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM YOUR CLASSROOM TEACHER.
• Students in Grades K-3 will have both a printable or online version available to complete. However, we ask that you make every effort to complete the assignment online. Teachers will email the link to their individual or grade level Participation form on a Blizzard Bag Day. Please complete and submit the participation form that you are emailed.
• Students in Grades 4-5 have a Google Classroom site to post questions and complete assignments. The link to the participation form for a Blizzard Bag Day will be found in the student’s Google Classroom. Please complete and submit the participation form that you are emailed.
• Students in Grades 6-8 will complete their assignments in their team Google Classroom. The link to the participation form for a Blizzard Bag Day will be found in the student’s Google Classroom. Please complete and submit the participation form that you are emailed.
• Blizzard Bag assignments are available for printing, but we ask that they be completed online.
• Students in Grades 6-8 who have limited online access on a Blizzard Bag Day can get a hard copy of their Blizzard Bag assignments the day after the Blizzard Bag Day.
• Assignments are due within 48 hours of the Blizzard Bag Day.
